BLACK HISTORY MONTH:
THEY CHOOSE US

Working closely with the Diversity, Inclusivity and Equality team, ManyPets celebrated Black History month in the US through supporting and amplifying the voices of our own African American colleagues. The focus was on the generational changes in perceptions of pets within the the black community.

We collaborated with celebrated author Joshunda Sanders on a short film that explores the unique and complex history between Black people and their pets. Sanders’ work has appeared in Oprah Daily, TIME Magazine, Poets & Writers, The New York Times, Oxford American, and more – it’s a true honor to have her tell this story with us.

My role in the project involved creative direction, production and editing/ grading the film.
